We have the best equipment ranging from Level 2 to Level 5 and we are specifically known for our premier High Pressure equipment. In 12 minutes or less, our equipment will help you achieve a deep, dark golden tan without the typical burn associated with your typical beds. Tan Bella has gained major kudos for the quality of equipment and services offered. Our High Pressure equipment is the MAIN reason why we are consistently voted the best year after year.

Low Pressure UV vs. High Pressure UV Equipment

Tanning is the body’s natural defense mechanism for protecting you against the sun’s rays. Normally, the outer layer of skin exfoliates every 28 days. When exposed to high concentrations of UVB rays outside in the sun or in Low Pressure tanning equipment, the body is forced to exfoliate prematurely every 5-10 days. This is why LOW PRESSURE tanners lose their tan so quickly and must tan much more frequently to keep the outer layer of their skin looking tan. HIGH PRESSURE equipment filters out most of the UVB rays, so your skin is able to maintain a normal exfoliation schedule, allowing your skin to stay tan much longer!

Low Pressure UV & Medium Pressure UV Tanning (Levels 2 – 4)

The main differences between these levels are the type of lamps (long white tubes or purple squares), the number of lamps, the lamp output and whether there are specific facial tanning lamps or not. Low Pressure equipment always consist of all long white tube lamps. Medium Pressure equipment introduce high-pressure facial lamps for a more golden, bronze glow. These bronzing lamps have a higher output so desired results can happen in less time.

High Pressure UV Tanning (Level 5)

Tan Bella is known for offering High Pressure Tanning. Many salons claim to offer it but you’ll know just by looking at the beds if you’ve really ever experienced a true High Pressure tan. If every single lamp is a large purple square, then it’s true High Pressure. It’s hard to find because it’s so costly to acquire and operate but we couldn’t happier to offer it and the results speak for themselves!

High Pressure tanning is the most advanced way to tan due to the unique lamps that are used. These lamps produce UVA and UVB in different ratios than conventional tanning beds do. The High Pressure lamps produce much lower UVB content, which reduces the risk of burning and allowing your skin to maintain a normal 28-30 day exfoliation process. This is why average tans last 2-3 days while your Tan Bella tan can last so much longer and up to 2 weeks. High Pressure beds will always have LARGE PURPLE SQUARE LAMPS and will produce a purple colored light. The only other type of lamps that exist are long white tubes.

= High Pressure
= Lower UVB Rays
= Less likely to burn
= Long lasting golden results

Remember, it’s all about the lamps.
